01) 5 Day Essential England Tour

Tour outline description Day 1 Your England travel starts with Britishtourplans by heading north to the University city of Cambridge with lots of free time to relax and explore this famous and facinating city with suggestions of what to see and do. Day 2 We head off to the ‘Midlands’ to see one of the most memorable sights on any England tour, Warwick with its magnificent medieval castle. Again, free time to explore with suggestions of what to see and do. Day 3 Only a short driving day today to Stratford upon Avon, renowned as the birthplace of the famous English playwright William Shakespeare. Lots of free time to explore and suggestions of what to see from all the shakespearean sights and after the leisurely sightseeing, an option is perhaps a visit to the Swan Theatre to see a Shakespeare play. Day 4 We leave Stratford upon Avon and head south again to travel through part of the beautiful Cotswolds as we make our way to Blenheim Palace, built in 1704 for the First Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and one of Englands finest Stately Homes. Then on to Oxford to see the magnificent ‘Dreaming Spires’ and much more. Free time to explore with suggestions of what to see. Day 5 We leave Oxford for Windsor and the Castle, to see one of the finest castles in England and still used today by Her Majesty and have free time to explore with suggestions of what to see.
